Mensagem no site de Sensei:
SHINOBU KAI -
Realizou-se no dia 29 de Abril, o Memorial em honra das vítimas do terramoto e tsunami da região de Tohoku, a norte de Tóquio.
Esta cerimónia foi efectuada pelo padre shinto, Takahashi san, amigo de longa data de Saito Hitohira Sensei. No site de Sensei há muitas fotografias das pessoas que participaram neste evento, incluindo a sua esposa, os seus filhos, o seu tio - Saito Sensei - Okoshi Sensei e muitos outros que vieram de longe, além dos locais. O evento, que durou por volta de 8 horas, não teve demonstração de Aikido mas teve também a participação dos alunos do Tanrenkan. Sr. Kenny Sembokuya diz-nos que 30 a 40 pessoas participaram no Memorial.
O evento começou às 11h00 com a cerimônia religiosa dirigida por Takahashi san, o sacerdote xintoísta, que durou aproximadamente 30 minutos. Após todas as cerimônias, bebidas e comida foram oferecidos a todos.
O Shibu-cho, Kajiwara-san e Rie-san de Osaka estavam presentes, bem como Takamo-san de
Nagoya, Otaka-san, de Tóquio, Murata-sensei e Ogoshi-san de Ibaraki,
Também lá estiveram três Uchideshi estrangeiros e também o conhecido Sano-san e outros improtante membros do Iwama Honbu Dojo.
Obviamente, Hisako san-a esposa de Sensei- Yasuhiro-san, Mitsuyoshi-san of filhos de Sensei que diligentemente praticam todos os dias, também estavam presentes.

"To the people involved,
Today, we thank the many people who participated and who came from very far away.
We prayed remembering the souls of the Founder, of our teacher Morihiro Saito and others who worked for the development of Aikido, and to soothe the souls of those who suffered with the earthquake of Tohokku.
On 4 and 5 June we organize a meeting of Aikido in order to help the locals who have suffered damage caused by the earthquake.
We ask for cooperation from all.

On April 29, a Memorial to honor the victims of the earthquakeand tsunami in the Tohoku region, north of Tokyo, was held in the Shin dojo (Morihiro Saito Sensei's dojo) organized by Hitohira Saito Sensei and family.
The site of Sensei many photos of people who participated in this event,including his wife, his children, his uncle - Saitosan - Okoshi Sensei and many others whocame from afar. The event, which lasted some hours, had no demonstration of Aikido, but counted with the participation of students of Tanrenkan and many local people.
