Uma certa pessoa estava de passagem pela pequena cidade de Yae, quando de repente teve uma dor de barriga. Parou numa casa numa das ruas laterais e pediu para usar a toilete. Uma jovem mulher que estava só recebeu e levou-o à parte de trás da casa e mostrou-lhe onde estava. Mal ele tinha comecado a tirar o hakama e a entrar para a toilete, chegou o marido da jovem e acusou-os de adultério. Eventualmente, isto tornou-se num assunto publico. O Senhor Naoshige ouviu isto e disse: “Mesmo que isto não seja um acto de adultério, é como se fosse, pelo facto de se despir o hakama sem hesitacão num lugar onde está presente uma mulher sem ser acompanhada e, no caso da mulher, permitir a alguém se despir enquanto o seu marido está ausente.
Diz-se que ambos foram condenados à morte por este acto.

A certain person was passing by the town of Yae when suddenly his stomach began to hurt. He stopped at a house on a side street and asked to use the toilet. There was only a young woman there, but she took him to the back and showed him where it was. Just as he was taking off his hakama and going into the toilet, the woman’s husband came home and accused them both of adultery. In the end, it became a public matter.
Lord Naoshige heard the case and said, “Even if this is not a matter of adultery, it is the same as adultery to take off one’s hakama without hesitation in a place where there is an unaccompanied woman, and in the woman’s case to allow someone to disrobe while her husband is absent from home”.
It is said that they were both condemned to death for this act.
